MyKey Global Accommodations is a North American leader in the Additional Living Expense (ALE) space. They are a technology company that works with insurers across the United States and Canada to provide temporary accommodations to displaced policyholders due to house fires, flooding, weather damage, or a variety of other events.
Mace Strategic Communications acted in a fractional CMO role, helping the brand to refine and expand its messaging to both existing clients and target insurers.
One of the primary functions was to create a series of “drip communications” aimed at insurance adjusters to communicate who MyKey is, what they do, and how they help. The challenge was to formulate messaging that performed the function of marketing without overtly being marketing messaging.
Mace crafted a weekly series of educational emails that introduced to adjusters how to best interact with MyKey for optimal results for both them and their customers with the core message being “we make the ALE process simple and stress-free”.
The project included writing and producing a series of videos using the brand’s mascot to help the adjuster understand every service MyKey provides, how to benefit from the company’s technology and more.
In addition to this, Mace developed a recapture campaign targeted at adjusters who had not sent a lead in 90 days or more to rekindle the relationship. Over 17 months that program drove nearly $3.5 million in revenue while helping to keep the brand name top of mind.
Other projects Mace completed for MyKey include working with an outside designer to launch a new website with fresh imagery and messaging, manage its social media accounts, produce sales and marketing collateral, rewriting the chain of communications to guests, clients, and vendors to ensure continuity of brand messaging, and formulate strategic participation in industry events.
